Why your gift matters

Amelia Brown sacrificed to send her son Ferome to private school because she placed importance on his education. The scholarship in her name carries that commitment forward: one family’s investment in a child’s future becomes an invitation for a community to help the next student.

Read Amelia’s story and the scholarship’s purpose

For a student, a conversation about college can become a plan. A plan can become an application. The right support can help make that next step possible.

Keep access open

Support the work behind free daytime summit attendance for students and families.

Make preparation practical

Support college exploration, application guidance and connections to people who can help.

Grow opportunity

Help build the resources for student support and scholarship awards when funding is available.

Give what works for you

Choose your amount.

Make a one-time donation of $1 or more. You can change the suggested amount in the secure checkout before paying. Donations are processed through the existing HBCUTwinCities Stripe account.

Donate securely with Stripe

You will leave this website to complete payment. Card details are handled by Stripe, not collected in our application forms.

How donations are used

This is a general gift to HBCU Twin Cities’ student opportunity program, including student access, college preparation and scholarship support when funded. Organizers allocate funds across those purposes. Gifts are not held in an escrow account and cannot be earmarked for a named applicant. Payment-processing fees reduce the net amount available. No percentage of every gift is represented as going directly to scholarships.

A donation is separate from event tickets, sponsorship packages and scholarship applications. It does not provide admission, sponsor benefits or influence recipient selection. For a restricted scholarship gift or a large contribution, contact the team to agree written terms before paying.

Tax receipts, payment errors and questions

Tax deductibility is not represented for this checkout. A Stripe payment receipt is not, by itself, a charitable tax acknowledgement. If you need a tax-deductible gift, request the legal recipient’s identity, verified tax status and written acknowledgement arrangements before donating.

For a duplicate charge, mistaken amount or a refund request, contact the organizing team promptly with your payment reference. Requests are reviewed individually, subject to applicable law and any written gift terms. The event-ticket no-refund policy does not automatically govern donations. Do not send card numbers.
